May 2008
Courses taking place across multiple sites
In addition to having a principal venue, it is possible to note that courses take place across multiple venues.
Amend emails on a per-course basis
The emails sent regarding particular courses can now be amended (for example to advise to bring suitable clothing).
Course enrolment periods
An enrolment period for a course can now be set with dates that enrolments commence and end.
Schools Management
To make reporting easier, you can now enter school information such that students can select their school from a drop down list.
Uploading second logos for courses
Courses can have additional logos assigned to them (for example for a funder or course provider).
Maximum number of enrolments
A limit can now be set on the number of courses that someone can be accepted onto.
Supress emails
You can now choose whether or not emails are sent when changes are made in the database.
Multi-user accounts
Parents or keyworkers enrolling on behalf of young people can now use the same email address for more than one account.
Highlighting and Alerts
Highlighting and alerts will now inform you if a student is the wrong age for a course, or if enrolling a student would take a course over its maximum class size.
Additional needs recording
The way that students with disabilities and other support needs is recorded has been upgraded.
Referral and Risk information
Information can now be stored on where a student was referred to you from.
April 2008
User Management
Named users can now be added to the database, such that individuals can each have their own logon. Password reminders are also now in place for these users.
Under 16/18 option
Due to popular demand, there is now an option for each Summer Uni to set what age requires a parental consent form.
Accreditation
The accreditation field in Course Management now allows you to record the type of accreditation available for the course.
Student Interface
Students can now not only log into the website to update their own details, but a number of other improvements have been made to the Student Interface.
Terms of Enrolment
The wordings for the Terms of Enrolment and for the Parental Consent form have been updated.
Course Details
When browsing for courses on the website, students will now be presented with a shorter version of the Course description.
From address
Emails from the database will now come "From" the student email contact; this means that any bad email addresses will generate a bounce to your inbox. This also makes it more important to have a generic email address rather than a personal one as the student email contact.
February 2008
Provider Management
A change has been made exclusively for one Summer Uni to enable individual course providers to manage enrolments on their behalf; this is not available to other Summer Unis. If you require more information on this, please contact Summer Uni London.
Archives
An archive function has been added such that you can deal with a single season, or just the current courses.
Course Statuses
You can now differentiate between Planned, Active and Cancelled courses.
Since August 2007
Reporting and Exporting
A facility now exists to view statistics on the data in the system and to create tables for export into Microsoft Excel if required.
