The Best of Art exhibition returned again this year with fantastic work selected from art courses run by Ealing, Haringey, Islington, Newham, Redbridge, Richmond, Southwark and Tower Hamlets Summer Uni’s.
Pieces were chosen from Summer Uni courses that ranged from experimental drawing to photography, stencil graffiti to textiles so that the eclectic collection reflected the diversity of London’s young artists aged between 8 and 25. The exhibition was opened by Gilbert & George and was open to the public for two weeks at Rich Mix Cultural Foundation.
The exhibition was organised and curated by young people aged between 16-25 who developed their skills on the five week Tower Hamlets Summer University ‘Young Curators’ course, led by inIVA. These Young Curators visited a selection of Summer Unis and selected the best work produced by students on arts courses.
